Narrative essay: Trip to Guadalajara.
Trip to Guadalajara.
I will to talk about my trip to Guadalajara. It may seem like no a big deal, and indeed it is not for someone else, but it is for me.
But why a simple trip to one of the most typical cities of the center of Mèxico is so important?
Well, first of all and although, I amshed to admit , it was the first time taht had left Aguascalientes, at my 14 years!
Second and most importantly , I learned that there are not only other cities but other worlds and lifestyles near of my own town and inside my own country.
I guess that`s how feel to leave the cage after years of thinking the world is as big as your block street.
It all started on Saturday night, is not the most amazing day of the week. I planned my weekend: I will get up lae and after breakfast I will watch TV until the evening , in the saddest case: until the night.
But when I came home from school I found a not so typical scene: my mother packing clothes.
"Pack your things"she said. I did not ask and I did.
When I found my brother packing clothes too he told me: "We will go to Guadalajara"
At frst I did not think about that, maybe coul be a joke. But my other is not that kind of person.
That helped me realize if it were the end of the world I would be the last to be rescued by my family.
I didn`t keep much in my back pack, only a few of t-shirts and pants and shoes.
We arrived at the bus station and took our bus.
On the way I was thinking : Is Guadalajara far from here?
How many? Will it be like here?
I was really not looking forward to traveling.
I had heared the radio, it was then very dangerous times for travel but never nothing bad had happened to my family.
Maybe it would be a good city, or pheraps the people revive us as undesirable, I might like the city may not. A new city is a new worls when you noy go out mucho. I only wait.
When we arrived, it was not what I expected (at first) , typical Mexican scene, earth, brick houses, cars, etc, etc. Maybe my fears disappeared when I heared tht they also spoke Spanish (after all, what other language would they speak?). We arrived to Tonala, a very picturesque village dedicated to handicrafts. The aroma was loaded with a smell of wet earth, food and sweets. We walked through the street market seeing what was there, I focused on the food, they took me out of my house so fast that I did not eat.
We stopped for lunch at a grilled beef restaurant, I did not read the menu I just ordered. It was delicious.
After "not buying anything" and just watched we went back to the truck. "Here ends a special day" I thought. But aparently we headed north and obviously we couldn`t be coming back home.
We arrived in Guadalajara, more exactly to the Guadalajara Zoo, It was huge, I lost about 3 times. I saw many animals but that surprised the most was the polar bear. I guess the only one in Mèxico.
While walking on the streets of Guadalajara I realized that this beautiful place was mine, nothing makes me different from these people. I could go whenever I wanted or live there if I wish. Is not like I needed a visa from live in other state.
After all, it was only a bus ticket away.
Reflex.
Is hard at the beginning , but in the end too. In first time I don`t know what experiene was enough interesting or not boring for write it.
Even, I didn`t be very sure of this one because I guess is not funny orinteresting, etc.
çI failed the structure and the order of the main ideas because I wasn`t sure wich were main ideas and wich ones not.
